Idea Napkin No. 2

My Name is Jacob Norton and I grew up in Gainesville, Fl. I am currently a second year marketing major at the University of Florida. My aspirations are to become a pharmaceutical salesman and on the side be a high school volleyball coach.

I think my idea of creating a more efficient volleyball net has a lot to do with my activities and hobbies. I’ve been playing volleyball since the 7th grade and now I currently play on the club team at UF. Having to continuously set up those obnoxious nets and take them down each time is a huge waste of time and can easily get confusing.

The customers I hope to sell to are people just like myself, people who are invested in volleyball and want to no longer waste time during practice or games to set up a net.

Having experience is a huge help, but also having ambition and knowledge of the sport would be appealing to customers.

I think these points help out in my case. Explaining what my product is, why I am doing it, what it will solve, and who it will appeal to are all qualities that match together. These help my business concept.

I received feedback to show that I have experience. I put in this napkin that I have experience playing AND getting annoyed with the volleyballs nets that people use now.

  1. Hey Jacob,

I enjoyed reading your blog post about your second idea napkin. I thought it was very unique and interesting that you have been playing volleyball from such a young age and have kept with it through the years even until now in college. Your experience in this sport is definitely something that could prove to be useful for your future business endeavors. However, if there is one thing that I would recommend to improve on your idea napkin, would be some more elaboration on some of the sections and some of you points seem very vague. Overall, great job with this post.
