3A - My Entrepreneurship Story
In middle school I created a recycling club. This club was to promote recycling in the area of Gainesville, FL. My parents and grandparents never recycled and after watching a documentary about all the waste buildup reaching our oceans and affecting the animals that inhabited it, I knew I had to do something. We reached out to the nearby neighborhoods and local businesses and encouraged them to recycle their plastic and glass. They still continue to do this club at my middle school.
I enrolled in ENT3003 because I am a marketing major and I needed a class to fill into my schedule. While signing up for this class with my academic advisor, he said that he had overheard that this particular class was actually entertaining and that you learn a lot about everyday business life. I am hoping to gain knowledge of how to start my own business and what it takes to run one.

I am very passionate about recycling myself, and I find it very cool that you were able to bring that passion along with you from middle school to college. I was actually an intern for a MOTE Marine, and we spent a lot of time doing clean-ups for our community's oceans. Perhaps I will look into your club!
