3A - My Entrepreneurship Story

3A - My Entrepreneurship Story

In middle school I created a recycling club. This club was to promote recycling in the area of Gainesville, FL. My parents and grandparents never recycled and after watching a documentary about all the waste buildup reaching our oceans and affecting the animals that inhabited it, I knew I had to do something. We reached out to the nearby neighborhoods and local businesses and encouraged them to recycle their plastic and glass. They still continue to do this club at my middle school.

I enrolled in ENT3003 because I am a marketing major and I needed a class to fill into my schedule. While signing up for this class with my academic advisor, he said that he had overheard that this particular class was actually entertaining and that you learn a lot about everyday business life. I am hoping to gain knowledge of how to start my own business and what it takes to run one.

2A - BUG LIST

2A - BUG LIST

  1. Outlets in my room are always in unreachable places. I always have to reach behind my bed to get to them and I can’t do work in my bed because the port is too far away.
  2. While I'm sleeping, my sheets tends to slide around and get untucked from the sides. This makes my bed look messier than it actually is.
  3. After having a phone charger for a month, mine always tend to break or unwire. This means I have to buy a new phone charger every month which can get costly for a college student.
  4. When I am in my apartment and my neighbors above me are playing loud music and stomping on their floor. I can never relax or sleep when this is happening.
  5. My refrigerator door is always so heavy to open and makes a lot of noise opening it. Every time I get out of bed at night to grab a water I feel like I am going to wake up my roommate.
  6. My refrigerator also produces way too much ice when I want to get some out and some of the ice cubes end up falling to the ground.
  7. It bugs me when I purchase an item and I try removing the sticker but some of the glue sticks on. Then I have to rub it off for a while until it completely comes off.
  8. When it’s late and I don't want to wake up my roommates but I want to cook something in the microwave and it creates an obnoxious noise, I think I’m going to wake them up.
  9. It bugs me when I try to lower the blinds, sometimes the cords will get tangled and I have to spend more time untangling them.
  10. It bigs me that stickers cannot be reused. When I get a new laptop case and want to take stickers off my old one and put them on my new one, they also tend to fall off.
  11. It bugs me when my headphones don't stay in my ears while I'm on a run. I don’t run with as much intensity without music.
  12. It bugs me when my headphones get tangled in my backpack. I have to spend extra time untangling them.
  13. It bugs me when I run out of hot water, If I want to take a long hot shower, I should be able to.
  14. It bugs me that my shorts don't have built in underwear, having to always wear underwear separately is annoying.
  15. It bugs me that wearing my glasses for a long period of time will start causing me to get headaches and then have to take them off and I can’t see as well.
  16. It bugs me that my clothes tend to fall off one side of the hanger and goes onto the floor. I then have to either hang it back up or wash it if its too dirty.
  17. It bugs me when balloons deflate and I can’t play with them anymore, then I have to go buy more balloons.
  18. It bugs me when I run out of shampoo before I run out of conditioner, I wish they could just be even.
  19. It bigs me that when I want to charger my phone i can't plug headphones in.
  20. Lastly, it bugs me there is no parking in Gainesville, I have gotten so many tickets because of this issue.

In the beginning of this assignment, it was quite easy to make up things that were bugging me in my everyday life; I just had to look around the room to come up with them. Around number ten it was more difficult to think of things that bugged me. I had to really think about my schedule and what took more time than others. The last five things that bugged me took about 30 minutes to come up with because they weren't ordinary things that would happen to me every day or every week.
